I just got this, the label roll is what came with the box. My main problem? How it keeps thinking their own label roll is not theirs, and therefore, fails to print clearly on it.
Yes, I keep resetting it, taking the roll out, and putting it back in, etc. The auto-troubleshooting loves to throw me to videos and trite solutions for OTHER label sources. This is their OWN label! Their product can't tell it is the correct label type every time I go to use it. It takes 15 mins of redoing resets until it finally grasps - Oh, this is my company's label! We are good!
ONCE it is working, it does fantastic. I love the barcode and Qcode options. I love how I can modify the label on my pc or phone.
From my programming friend's perspective, the program of the printer is at fault, and the software needs to be corrected. The lack of software recognition needs to be improved.
Otherwise, this is a dandy and wonderful device, helping me organize my move and other projects.
This thing has a great app and it's super responsive to the machine with barely any issues, but I cannot STAND how the quality isn't different no matter the picture | text | etc. setting. I'm lucky the barcode is clear as day but you can't read the font at all and it just shatters me, because the next step up is double the price but I fear it isn't going to be much better.
Setup was straightforward, and the printer is user-friendly, making it accessible for anyone, regardless of tech-savviness. The printing speed is impressive, and I love that I can create custom labels to suit my needs.
Was comparing this to a regular small-label maker, and the running costs are where this wins. Since it's thermal, there's zero cost for ink or toner. The only thing you buy is the paper rolls, which seem reasonably priced.
To explain my rating of this item, The unit does everything I ask it to do. The problem is me. I am still trying to figure out the correct way to ask the unit to accomplish that task. I am happy with the unit. What would make it better is if I could talk to a qualified rep. of the company to ask questions about the units operation. Why does it have to be so complicated to get the most basic operations from some computerized equipment? Not all of us are "computer savvy" and we have to figure out how to make a complicated piece of equipment perform the function it was purchased for? I am certain that others are feeling the same way, so please try to make these items more "user" friendly! Thank you.
For everyday use it’s a handy little printer — small, simple, and gets the job done. My only gripe is that sometimes the print comes out slightly off-center, especially if the roll isn’t seated perfectly. It doesn’t happen every time, but when it does, you waste a bit of paper. It’s not terrible, but it’s annoying enough to knock a star off for something that should be consistent.
Setup was easy and it’s been useful for quick labels and notes. The printer itself works fine. The reason it’s not five stars is the long term: it only takes their specific thermal paper rolls. The ones included are great, but once they’re gone, you’re committed to buying their supply. It’s not a huge problem, but it’s an extra ongoing cost and limits flexibility.
This PM220 Label Printer is very easy to use and install. Perfect size for on the go. I bought it to use at the famers market and it fits right into your purse. Very durable & the print quality is amazing. It doesn't smear, very crisp looking. Would highly recommend.
This is a unique label machine maker that you can do multiple things with it create your own logo for your business or crafting projects along with labeling things throughout your home it's extremely durable and the size is just right very small but can do so so many things that it's really hard to believe but it definitely does the job right.. hope you enjoy it as much as I do I'm going to be using it for my new business in candle making.. this is definitely something to own for just that occasion.
I ran a few test prints and some actual labels, and it performed consistently. The output was solid and readable every time. It's a small, focused device. It doesn't try to be a photo printer or a scanner; it just focuses on being a good 2-inch thermal printer. For anyone whose needs fit that description, it's a trustworthy and uncomplicated choice. It simply does what it promises.
